Olde 'Arry Buy this album. A depressive listening experience that greatly resembles the cover art. The opening track instantly brings you to a cold, dark and lonely environment, it's that cold black metal atmosphere we are all always looking for. Favorite track: La voûte étoilée.

David Fischer Urchig is a mesmerizing release. The feel of an internal soliloquy, utterly alone, whilst taking a walk in a cold winter night. The ambience is really strong and reminds me of NØNE, one of my all time favourite projects. Fantastic Atmospheric Black Metal! Favorite track: Nachtspinnärinnä.

H.L. It is difficult to name a favourite song here, as the focus lies on dense atmosphere over the whole run of 30 minutes and less on individuality or catchiness of the epic tracks. And that works really well, as DISPARAÎTRE's atmospheric ambient black metal includes enough variations and original ideas to stay interesting during the whole run of the album. Favorite track: La voûte étoilée.

absolutely loving this new, more natural sound. their first albums always had an intentionally cold feel to them, which i enjoyed, but this new sunlight-filled album really comes into it's own. they keep the mix tight and blurred but now the natural feel of a live drummer is more pronounced. this is how the mighty EARTH AND PILLARS needed to sound. crazy good album, and old fans will find this a refreshing new sound.
