A swirling black metal maelstrom of beautiful synths, tremolo riffs, and cascading drums, at once the sombre farewell to autumn and the grand embrace of winter’s majesty. Aran has given us the truth. fleba_il_fenicio Finland and keyboards have an historically proved and well entwined connection. This album is built on this symbiosis. Third element: a pattern of guitars in a classical black metal perspective. The whole ensemble in 4 pieces, try to recreate the (tragically altered) seasonal equilibrium of Nature on earth. It depicts paisages of soul and Nature one can't separate. We eventually feel that, as told by this thrilling trip, darkness and light are sides of the same medal. Favorite track: Kadotetut.

Spinebrain One of the big surprises on the year so far and more than happy to support a fellow Finn with this purchase. The result is an interesting mix of styles, I am curious to see in which direction this flows for the next release. Favorite track: Kadotetut.

Aran's second full length album "Pimeyttä Vasten" (meaning: "Against The Darkness") is about the autumn and start of the winter, when days are getting shorter and dark again.

Aran is an atmospheric black metal band from Oulu, Finland. Formed in 2018 by Juhani K., the music is a melancholic combination of ambient synthesizer textures with atmospheric black metal riffs.
