Obstacle of Affliction Top notch raw and dirty black metal that does not lose its intensity because of poor recording but somehow masters that unpolished grit. Favorite track: Sjoelvmord.

H.L. SVADILFARE's melodic black metal appears full of atmosphere but also raw and unpolished, I suppose mainly because of the rattling underground production. The style is somehow timeless, the guitars sound like Abigor in the 90s and also the well performed clean choirs are a standard tool to create atmosphere, but who cares, when it works that well? Check for example "Hordalands Skimmer", a quite representative track for the album or the melancholic and calm end of the album called "Sjoelvmord". Favorite track: Sjoelvmord.

Metallurgical Fire This is really great but I would recommend headphones for a first listen. Fantastic guitar work, dirty production and massive vocals. Vemodig Farvel and Brutalt Fortalt are a couple of perfect songs. Favorite track: Vemodig Farvel.
