I've come back to this album to give it it's well-deserved due. The interpositions are coherent and cold, it's all put together really nicely which adds to the effectiveness of it's depressing atmosphere, and to it's faculty-decimating power. Throughout the album it often reminds me of the great Bathory, which is always a good thing. What will you see?

I discovered a lot of excellent German black metal in 2019 and one of the bands which I have to recommend insistently is WALLFAHRER. Their style is dynamic and powerful, but also melodic and enthralling. Dramatic, epic, atmospheric songs, a good portion of catchiness and a whiff of poetry in best German tradition are admirable features of this first class debut with just the right sound!

Melancholy melodic amazing. Great drums, great vocal mixture. Two IPA in and I hit that song "Dead Star" the closest thing to spiritual, which then required another beer.
