fleba_il_fenicio These musicians know how to drive music straight to the heart. Black metal is more than a cold premise for refined guitar work and multiple changes inside each song. Lyrics too are incredibly inspired and matching with music. Marrasmieli is a newborn flower, still covered by dew's brightness. Aallot is in particular a lesson of emotional crescendo, especially in second half of the song but in general, all the tracklist remains on the peak of the best inspiration. Best of luck to them! Favorite track: Aallot.

Darkness Doubled Excellent album! Reminds me of a mix between Moonsorrow and Ashes-era Agalloch. Just the right amount of keys to add a cool texture to the sound and the guitars sound larger than life. This is a very promising evolution from their previous EP. Too bad I missed out on the vinyl! Favorite track: Karakorum.

On their debut album Marrasmieli continue on what they've already established on the 2018 EP while also expanding the sound. The album consists of five epic songs - each with its own character: roaring mighty passages and blizzard-like blast beats contrasted by somber melodies and peaceful moments. As the name of the album suggests, the lyrics will take you from the depths of sea to the peaks of ancient mountains; from the enclosed shade of the woods to realms beyond mortality.

The songwriting began already during the production of the EP and the album was recorded during spring and summer of 2019. The album is mixed and produced by Nattvind and mastered by Henri Sorvali of Trollhouse Audio.
