Experimental and raw atmospheric black metal. Good, without being fabulous.
Favorite track: Hope for Twilight (Feat. Tim Yatras & Hauke Peters).

Veering from blasting, angst-ridden self-loathing to hopeful, soaring melodies that provide a nice textural contrast that works really well, despite the seeming dichotomy of these two competing atmospheres, Déhà's ninth album of the year allows for no lessening of the musical quality of hid output.

The series "A Fleur de Peau" is setting Déhà as 'the' mastermind of emotional extreme music to this year.
After the doomy "I - There is no Home" and the pure DSBM de luxe "II - Burdening Everyone" which saw Kim Carlsson from Hypothermia screaming again, this third installment beats the nails of it all with a pure atmospheric, ethereal but depressive black metal album. Accompanied on this album by amazing musicians - Natalie from Shape of Despair, Tim from Austere, Hauke Peters from Maladie, Carlos d'Agua from Collapse of Light and Nils Courbaron from Sirenia - Déhà oscilliated between what he does best : light and darkness, deep personal feelings brought back up and, simply, beautiful music.

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken

These musicians know how to drive music straight to the heart. Black metal is more than a cold premise for refined guitar work and multiple changes inside each song. Lyrics too are incredibly inspired and matching with music. Marrasmieli is a newborn flower, still covered by dew's brightness. Aallot is in particular a lesson of emotional crescendo, especially in second half of the song but in general, all the tracklist remains on the peak of the best inspiration. Best of luck to them! fleba_il_fenicio

This is another sublime achievement from Ovnev. The percussion on the album is better than the last one, but otherwise we have the consistent beauty that fans have come to expect. There are a lot of quieter moments that are integrated very well. Metallurgical Fire
A blackened doom concept record about the very real problem of amphibian extinction, “Croak” is a punishing, essential listen. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 23, 2022
